Overview
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians, also known as physiatrists, treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. PM&R physicians provide a holistic, multi-faceted approach to maximize physical functioning. We work closely with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and the patient’s own medical providers to improve physical functioning, foster greater independence, and improve quality of life. We provide both inpatient and outpatient management of neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions.
